Managed the Soft Facilities contracts for the flagship store in Oxford Street, London where there was a footfall of over 16m people per annum and a budget value of over £3m. Overseeing all aspects including legal compliance, Health & Safety safe working practices, method statements and risk assessments, COSHH documentation along with monitoring compliance, adherence to employment and immigration legislation:

  • Daily Management of the bought in cleaning £2.1m contract of 1.5 million sq ft building
  • Window cleaning and glazing throughout 5 floors and abseil cleaning of the external windows
  • Management of waste streams including General, Food, Re-cycling (Cardboard, Paper, Polythene, Glass) along with the compliance documentation.
  • By improving the re-cycling I kept the cost of waste disposal to a minimum and created a revenue stream for the re-cycled materials.
  • The introduction of specialist equipment to manage materials for re-cycling and food waste improved the quality of the streams for re-cycling and reduced the transport costs, in addition to controlling the odours caused by food waste.
  • Introduction of an all inclusive pest management programme which successfully reduced the pest activity and kept costs to budget.
  • Programmed cleaning of bronze signs, doorways, window frames, friezes and statues
  • Flag & pole maintenance, cleaning and purchase to keep on the 24 roof and 7 diagonal street level flags clean and flying
  • Management of the washroom services.
  • Represented Selfridges at the Retailers' Producer Responsibility Association (REPRA).

 Operations Manager – RBS Contract               Lancaster Office Cleaning Co Ltd

Managing £4.5m of a £13m soft services contract for RBS with personal financial responsibility for service delivery from operational, logistic perspective including change management to increase productivity, profitability and introduction of policies that are more environmentally sound that included:

  • Line management of 11 managers on 387 sites ranging across London and the Southeast including High Street retail, cash centres and regional offices
  • Operational management of the Health & Safety systems within the retail banking division, with responsibility of ensuring compliance across the sites within his area including safe working practises, method statements, risk assessments, COSHH documentation.

  • Area Manager City & West End – managed small D.O.C. cleaning contracts with a value of up to £100,000.00
  • Contract Manager Boots the Chemist – managed 63 stores across South and Central London. This led to ISS tendering for the national Boots Contract.
